This remote application should be connected into the local network in which iTunes library and Apple TV are connected to which enables for an easy pairing. By paring up the remote application with the iTunes library or Apple TV it enhances good control over these libraries. To access this application your iPhone must meet some software specifications. The system requirements for pairing iTunes library are: your iPhone must be integrated with software version 3.1.3 or the later versions and it should be installed with the iTunes version 9.2.1 or 10.0.1.For accessing the remote Apple TV application the system requirements are: it should be installed with the software version 3.1.3 or the latest one and with the software version 3.0.2 or later for the first generation Apple TV and 4.0 or later for the second generation Apple TV.

Known issues and TODO

* Needs a better display for missing cover art

* Artist/Album/Song selection does not work

* Needs better looking volume control

* Speaker selection does not always work (Apple does not provide an API to change the speakers, so a hack is used)

* Change to use AJAX (can I make the song and artwork update when the song changes in iTunes? And how will this effect the battery?)

* Make skinnable

* Create an OS X application with configuration dialog

* Requires admin access because I have not figured out how to handle file names properly in AppleScript. (A temporary file is created in the root directory to store the album cover art)

* Add security so that we can open this up outside our networks. (I hate to do this until iPhone’s Safari can remember passwords)
